Lynda recently retired after working for over 40 years in health and social care across Wales. A registered nurse, Lynda also qualified as a social worker and enjoyed a varied career working in hospitals, community, care homes (as a nurse and later as a regulator) and in Welsh Government.

 In more recent years Lynda led several large-scale programmes to develop community services to support older people and people with long-term conditions, to live independently at home, and to provide choices when support is needed. Lynda is passionate that adding ‘life to years’ is as important as adding ‘years to life’.

Lynda has seen the vital difference that third sector organisations make and is excited to join Age Connects Morgannwg as a trustee, at a time when their services have never been needed more.

In her downtime, Lynda loves being outdoors and enjoying the Welsh countryside with family, dogs, and friends (especially when food and drink are included on the itinerary).  Lynda also enjoys reading, quizzing, rugby and is currently learning a bit about cricket.
