Our Support Worker Team provide one to one support to people who may be struggling to live independently. This may be following a bereavement or following a diagnosis such as dementia.
Our Support@Home Service provides help, encouragement and support to people who may be struggling to live independently and may be at risk of homelessness. They may be struggling with the effects of substance misuse or the challenges of a new situation or diagnosis, such as dementia. Our aim is to help older people remain living in their own home for as long as they wish and is possible, by providing one to one support to continue doing the things they enjoy and that keep them healthy and independent. Each year we provide over thousands of hours of support to older people, helping them maintain or regain their independence.
“My life has greatly improved, I was feeling so lonely and desperate, my support worker moved me into sheltered accommodation, I joined in activities, I have won an award in Wales and West Housing for best newcomer and for my involvement in In-house activities and events.” Mr J, Merthyr Tydfil
