How You Can Support Us

Volunteering

There are many ways in which you can support your local Age Concern organisation. One of them is by volunteering your time to support older people who use our services. 

We strive to provide a range of volunteering opportunities and will do our best to respond to the different types of work people want to do. Why not contact one of our Service Coordinators to find out more about how to become a volunteer and start making a difference to the lives of older people.

Making a Donation

With your help, we can continue to provide the essential help and support via our community services, information and advice and campaigning. 

Here are a few examples of what your donations can mean to an older person.

• £1 donated to our Information and Advice service can generate an average of £63 of income for older people in poverty
• £5 pays for a volunteer’s expenses to visit an older person in their own home twice a month
• £10 pays for 20 minutes of engaging activities in a care home setting
• £50 covers the cost of a counselling session for an older person
• £75 pays for hiring a community centre for a day to provide activities for isolated older people in the local area
• £100 trains one member of staff/volunteer to provide engaging activities in a care home setting
• £500 provides a Christmas party for 50 older people who would otherwise not be celebrating Christmas

There are a number of ways you can make a donation and its important that you choose a method that suits you best.

We have collection boxes at all of our public offices (see our Contact Us page for details of our offices) where you can donate as much or as little as you like, or you can click on the 'Donate Now' button opposite to make an online donation via the Charity of Choice website.

Many people choose to help us by making a donation in memoriam in lieu of funeral flowers.  Please send your total donation to Age Concern Morgannwg, Principality House, Rear of 31 Taff Street, Pontypridd, CF37 4TR.  By providing us with your name and full postal address, we can acknowledge your kind contribution and we can claim Gift Aid on your donation.  Click on the following link to find out more about Gift Aid.

Legacies

You may wish to support our charity by leaving a legacy to enable us to continue providing vital help and assistance to older people especially those who are most vulnerable.
