Living Wills
For information on living wills and advance directives, the Alzheimers Society produces a fact sheet called ‘Future Medical Treatment: Advance Statements and Advance Directives or Living Wills’. A sample copy of a 'living will is contained in the fact sheet.
Loans
Budgeting Loans (e.g. for household items) are available to people on Income Support & Jobseekers Allowance (over 26 weeks) or Pension Credit. Crisis Loans are available to anyone who can show that it is “the only way that serious damage or serious risk to health or safety can be avoided”. To make an application, contact the Department of Works and Pensions (DWP).
Local Credit Unions, such as Bridgend Lifesavers Credit Union (BLSCU), Dragonsavers Credit Union and Merthyr Tydfil Borough Credit Union Ltd may also be able to help.
