Elder Abuse
Incidents of abuse, suspected abuse or neglect should be reported through local Protection of Vulnerable Adults procedures. Contact Social Services department for details. Elder Abuse Response Line provides information on dealing with abuse and how to prevent it.

Energy Services
In the event of a gas emergency contact the National Gas Emergency Service which is run by National Grid, on 0800 111 999.
If your electricity is cut off, contact your supplier.  Local suppliers include British Gas and SWALEC.

Britsh Gas Energy Trust runs a service that assists customers having problems paying their gas bills. Other suppliers may have similar schemes.
For information on energy saving measures, including HEES and other schemes, contact Energy Savings Trust.
For independent information and price comparisons between different providers contact ‘Uswitch’ or ‘Consumer Direct Wales’.
For information about which company is supplying a property contact National Grid.
All gas and electricity suppliers have code of practice stating that pensioners will not be disconnected between 1st October & 31st March.
