Direct Payments
People with a Community Care Plan who wish to organise their own care can receive Direct Payments from their local authority in order to pay for it. See 'Independent Living Schemes' for further information.
Disabled Facilities Grants
Available for adaptions to the home necessary to ensure access to basic amenities. Means tested. To apply contact Social Services departments or relevant local authority.
