Age Concern Morgannwg at the Big Welsh Bite Event 2011

This year's Big Bite event in Pontypridd’s Ynysangharad War Memorial Park was a roaring success for attendees and stallholders alike.

Age Concern Morgannwg had a fabulous weekend raising £221.30 for its vital services, through selling homemade cakes and cooking tortilla toasties (rumours that the chefs were trained by star Gino DiCampo who attended the event are totally unfounded).

Name the scarecrow and a treasure hunt were also some of the other activities people took part in on the entertaining stall.

The weekend was an opportunity to engage with local residents and promote our various services, ranging from our home insurances products to our Hospital Discharge Service.

Everyone had a great weekend and will be back again next year to join in with the fun!
